Wheels are often designed in a variety of ways depending on the type of machinery used to choose wheels to suit the use of machines and vehicles. There are two types of wheels for forklift trucks: solid wheels (gutless wheels) and pneumatic wheels (gut wheels).
The difference between solid wheel (coreless wheel) and steam wheel (inner wheel)
– Solid wheel (coreless wheel):
- Electric powered forklifts often use solid wheels to move.
- The price of the solid wheel for a forklift is cheaper than the one that uses steam.
– Steam wheels (wheels with intestines):

Solid cake is manufactured 100% of rubber, usually black. Solid cakes are often used with machines and means of work in areas that do not require high aesthetics and especially areas with complex and rough terrain, rocky soil, unstable altitude, etc. Different types of forklifts will be suitable for a solid wheel of different diameter.
Forklift solid wheels are composed of the main parts from the outside to the inside, such as: the tire surface, the central rubber pad, the inner hard rubber layer and finally the tire tread.
In order to help the wheels stick to the road surface, the tire surface is divided into grooves of different sizes and shapes, the tire surface also helps to resist wear and has high durability to help the layer last a long time of use.
The part that increases the height of the wheel, connected to the tire is a relatively large center rubber cushion that provides optimal resilience during use and helps reduce heat accumulation. .
The next two layers are the inner hard rubber layer and the tire tread, these two layers have a very high absolute hardness to not rotate with the presser wheel, these two layers are also the part that is in direct contact with the presser plate of the forklift.

How to change forklift wheels with correct technique
- Remove the solid wheel from the press plate (wheel)
- First remove all the screws on the outside of the forklift rim. Next place the wheel between the presser surface and the rubber pad, need to let the presser and wheel rim are completely balanced, step on the pedal with your foot. to force the wheel away from the rim.
- Continue to repeat all of the above for the other parts of the wheel to force the wheel away from the rim.
- Place a vertical shaft in the working position, so that the wheel outlet is close to the wheel rim, the output roller should be placed 2 mm from the wheel to prevent scratches from occurring. Use handle 11 to pull the buckle tightly.
- Use a lever - via hooking the tire out of the position of the presser plate (wheel - wheel)
- Replace new solid wheels for forklifts
- Place the wheel on the rim and reposition it
- Use some lubricating solution such as soapy water, cooking oil, ... on the edge of the wheel and put the edge of the wheel on the inlet, place the tire near the body and then press the pedal to rotate the wheel clockwise.
- Finally, install the wheel and press the wheel to the car
